Standardized Tests

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) is cosponsored by the College Board and national Merit Scholarship Corporation. It is developed and administered for the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation by Educational Testing Service (ETS).

Taking the SAT is the first step in finding the right college for you — the place where you can further develop your skills and pursue your passions.

PSAT/NMSQT

The PSAT (MOCK AND ACTUAL TEST)

Maspeth High School administers a mock PSAT each year. The mock exam provides an opportunity for students to get an idea of the questions and the endurance necessary to take the actual PSAT exam, which will be administered every October.

Moreover, if your child is planning to attend the PSAT SaturdayAcademy, the mock exam will help us design the appropriate class levels to best fit your child's needs.  In order for your child to participate in the mock exam, please kindly sign the PSAT sheet that your child has received and return the signed sheet to your child's English teacher.  Thank you.
