Chorus

Welcome to The Maspeth High School Choral program page!  Here you will find information regarding the 2021-2022 choral program season.

At Maspeth, students in each grade level will be able to sign-up for chorus, no matter their experience level.

Students in this program are challenged in mind, voice, and spirit to engage with historical texts and repertoire. Musical literacy and artistic expression serve as the foundation for budding vocalists in this program.

Maspeth Singers

The Maspeth Singers are a select vocal ensemble at Maspeth High School. The group is comprised of students from all grades and perform music of all genres.  Maspeth Singers are an extracurricular vocal group that meets 1-2 time per week.

Auditions for the 2021-2022 year will be held on after school on Wednesday, September 29th and Thursday September 30th in room 217 (Anderson)

The audition will be less than 5 minutes.  You will prepare 1 (one) minute of a song of your choice.  Mr. Anderson will also vocalize you to determine your range.  There will also be a melodic and rhythmic sight-reading example (singing and clapping an unknown example)
